How does the VeinGogh Procedure work?
Using a small stylus, a hair-like fiber is inserted into the vein that is being treated. Once the fiber locates the vein, the fiber delivers a micro-burst of controlled heat energy which damages the vein walls causing the vein to seal shut and eventually collapse completely. Over time the vein is reabsorbed by the body and blood is rerouted through other healthy veins nearby.
Some patients will achieve desired results in as little as one treatment, however, most patients require additional treatment, typically 2-3 sessions, to achieve their desired results.
