Cellafina for Safe and Effective Cellulite Treatment

There is a lot of confusion when it comes to cellulite and cellulite removal. Some people honestly believe that creams can completely remove cellulite, while others insist that cellulite can only be removed through surgical procedures. Some say that cellulite removal relies on losing weight. But can cellulite really be removed? Fortunately, effective and convenient cellulite treatment is possible with methods like Cellfina

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite has a lot of nicknames. Some refer to it as cottage cheese on their legs, and others say that their skin has an orange peel complexion. Regardless of the nickname that is used to describe cellulite, it is something that undeniably causes people emotional stress, especially during the summer months when a person needs to trade in their heavy coats and sweaters for shorts and tank tops.

It is estimated that around 90 percent of women and 10 percent of men in developed nations have cellulite. Most women start to develop cellulite between the ages of 25 and 35, although it can form at almost any age. There is a link between estrogen production and cellulite development. This is because when a person’s estrogen levels start to decrease, so does their circulation. Less blood circulation leads to less oxygen, which in turn leads to fewer nutrients getting to the area where cellulite develops. Since there are fewer nutrients, collagen production slows down. This in conjunction with the fact that fat cells are getting larger causes the fat to protrude through the membrane that separates your subcutaneous fat from your skin. This leads to the bumpy, lumpy fat we know as cellulite.

Women often develop cellulite on their knees, buttocks and thighs. This is because these are parts of the body that have three layers of fat as opposed to just one. Women will also have multiple layers of fat in their abdomen and along the triceps.
